There’s something almost magical about getting a pair of bespoke shoes. It involves you in a way that gives you more respect and curiosity for the materials used and the process itself.

100% MADE BY HAND

Our shoes are hand made in New Mexico with a combination of old world and early industrial techniques—using machines and tools made between the early 1900s and 1950s. All shoes and boots are fully hand welted. Uppers are made by hand on industrial and treadle machines. Leather is dyed to order. We cut, shape, sand, stain and brogue each pair  by hand—taking approximately 30 – 40 hours to craft each pair and involving 200+ individual steps.

SUSTAINABLE

We hand select all leather, dyes, thread, eyelets, buckles, and other materials.  All leather used for the insole, sole, upper, lining, counter and toe box is veg tanned —sourced domestically when possible. White pine is used for the wooden soled sandals. Shanks are steel, and for all the additional rubber soling elements, we use Vibram products.

UNISEX

We have a love of the classic utility and quality of working class wear of the 1930s – 50s. Our styles we build are intentionally gender neutral, and include some feminine and masculine of center styles. Most styles are available in all sizes.

MADE TO ORDER

All of our shoes are made to order in your choice of style and color plus a broad range of customization options. You can choose one of our ready-to-wear styles or customize one to make it your own. (Please see the customization page for more details about those options.) We use a veg tan leather, which naturally varies in color and texture, making each pair unique.

If you’re wondering, ‘can they?…’ drop us a line, we probably can.

“Your kicks are awesome. Everyone I have passed at work and on the street has noticed them and you know what? They love them almost as much as I do, because at the end of the night they are taking me dancing ;) Bless your talented eye and true hands. Magic!”
